In a quiet corner of Saltsjöbaden, this 1960s brick villa became the starting point for a young family’s vision of a brighter, more connected home. At its center stands IG3, a kitchen designed to bring people together while remaining calm, timeless, and beautifully understated.
The brief called for openness and clarity: a kitchen that could anchor the flow between living and dining without demanding attention. Positioned at the heart of the plan, the kitchen naturally became a social landscape where everyday routines, shared meals, and long conversations coexist with ease.
Materials were carefully considered. A custom NCS tone, a warm treated wooden countertop and honed marble panels work together to create a balanced, tactile and quietly sophisticated expression.
The design was realized in close collaboration with a local interior studio responsible for the home’s spatial concept. Their vision for tone and proportion was translated into precise technical solutions, ensuring the space would remain both practical and emotionally enduring.
Quiet confidence guides IG3. Nothing is loud, yet every detail is intentional. It is a kitchen that doesn’t simply occupy the home - it gives it character and purpose.
